The design of this model was created in early 2024 – it had long been my wish to craft a violin that carries my personal signature. Now I hold the result in my hands: an instrument that not only reflects the past year in its sound but also tells a story through special details. One of these details can be found on the edge of the back, where a nail once stuck in the wood and rusted over time. Instead of removing this trace, I filled the nail hole with an ebony inlay and made it deliberately visible – as a sign of the past woven into the instrument. This violin is not only an expression of my craftsmanship and artistic development but also a reminder that we all carry scars that shape us. Just like the nail left its mark in the wood, the past year has left traces that are part of our story. And instead of hiding them, we can proudly show them – as a testament to what has been and what has become of it.
